Zoning

Sometimes it takes a while to get back into the zone. A while after too much work. A while after too much drama. A while after too much selfishness. A while after too much selflessness. A while after...then it's time to get into the zone again. The zone where time stops. The world shifts. Thoughts center on nothing. The zone of calm, unity, pliability. The zone where it is possible to be anything. Sometimes there are things in life that takes us further away from this zone. Things we allow to get in the way of who we are meant to be. Things we think we can change, modify, adjust to fit just a little bit better. Only to realize it is not the thing that changed, it was us. And in the end, after all the change, after all the muss and fuss and mess...in the end...sometimes it just takes a while to get back into the zone. But once back, it is all so clear. It is the absence of this zone, this place, our center that has taken us so far off course. In that zone it is time to sigh. To be. To enjoy. To play.
